Join U.S. Army curator, Molly Bompane, to explore how animals have supported and uplifted Soldiers throughout U.S. Army history. Since the Army’s founding, animals have been a part of the Soldier experience in times of both war and peace. Animals have been used during mounted attack, as transportation, for communication and for bomb and other hazardous detection.
Whether a dog, horse, bird, bear or some other creature, hear more about how these animals provide much-needed distraction, comfort, and companionship, and have even served as mascots and considered bearers of good luck.
