Bring your family to the Museum! We offer programs for all ages and learning levels.


Scavenger Hunts

Recon Mission

Explore the Museum while completing an exciting Recon Mission scavenger hunt. Receive a prize for completing the mission. While best for children aged 10 and up, all ages are welcome to participate. Print the Recon Mission at home or inquire at the Museum’s Welcome Desk. Participation is free and included with a general admission ticket. Preregistration not required.

Goosechase

Explore the Museum with this digital scavenger hunt using the Goosechase app. The app is free to download and use.

Once you have downloaded the app, search “Fighting for the Nation” or use the Game Code Z8Q4LR. Receive a prize for completing the mission. While best for children aged 10 and up, all ages are welcome to participate.

The Soldiers Load

What did Soldiers carry with them? What did they wear to keep themselves safe on and off the battlefield? Explore the uniforms and tools of U.S. Army Soldiers through the ag. All ages are encouraged to participate. Participation is free and included with a general admission ticket. Preregistration not required. Look for the cart located near the Army Theater.

Family Activity

Learn about the Army, Army history, and G-STEM through hands-on activities. Make your own Revolutionary-era hat, decode a secret message, or create a pinwheel and learn about the importance of weather on Army operations. New programs are introduced on a regular basis, so check back often. All ages are encouraged to participate. Participation is free and included with a general admission ticket. Preregistration not required. Programs are offered daily.

Tiny Troops Story Time

Enjoy a bouncy story time filled with rhymes, books and activities. Stay afterward to make friends and play in Fort Discover. Here, children use imaginative play to learn about Army life and innovations. While best for children aged 3 to 5 years old, all ages are welcome to this 30-minute, weekly read-aloud program. Participation is free and included with a general admission ticket. Preregistration not required. Find the next program on the calendar of events.

Experiential Learning Center

The Experiential Learning Center (ELC) offers a unique and immersive learning space for all visitors to develop skills and have fun with Geography, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (G-STEM).

Training Center

In the Training Center, visitors simulate work done by Army Soldiers in the fields of Geography, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (G-STEM). This interactive environment contains five stations: unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations, geospatial intelligence, aviation cargo drops, bridge building and medical support.

Fort Discover

Join us in Fort Discover, where young visitors can use imaginative play to climb an Army tower, radio friends, drop cargo supplies, launch a space rocket, drive a jeep, serve up chow in the dining facility and check out different uniforms with Camo Camera! Our animated Army mules, Buckshot and Blackjack, use age-appropriate interactive games to teach children about Army innovations across history—such as interstate highways, the Panama Canal and satellite communications.
