Bob Hope was the 20th century’s most famous American entertainer. A star in radio, television, movies, and theater, he was unmatched in his ability to tell a joke. He invented the modern comedy monologue. Generations of stand up comedians have followed in his footsteps.
Learn about Bob Hope’s comedy techniques, and flex your comedy muscle at the Museum’s open mic. Bring your favorite clean comedy jokes or pick from among those provided, and deliver them to a live audience in classic Bob Hope style. School-aged children are encouraged to join in.
