Veterans Day 2026

Veterans Day 2026

NMUSA Image

On Veterans Day, we honor the selfless service of individuals from all walks of life who stepped forward to defend our nation throughout our history. Veterans Day also offers an occasion to gather at the National Museum of the United States Army and explore U.S. Army history through the Soldier stories of those who have served.

Join us Nov. 7, 8, and 11, 2026 for special visitor activities. Museum admission and public programs are free.

Discover “CALL TO Arms: The Soldier and the Revolutionary War,” and experience the sights and sounds of the American Revolution through the personal stories of our nation’s first Veterans. Explore an unprecedented collection of rare Revolutionary War artifacts from the original colonies, England, France and Canada, and learn about the courage, service and sacrifice of those who helped shape our nation.

More than 250 years later, that same spirit of service and sacrifice can be seen in the actions of those who answered the call in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Continue the journey of discovery through “Steel and Stone: Engineering the Response to 9/11,” and explore powerful artifacts and personal stories revealing how the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers responded and helped a nation recover and rebuild.

These special exhibitions are included in your FREE Museum admission—learn more and plan your visit.
